I need to spend a day or two trying to convert a theme to the new version of the software.. or at least get something looking good enough.. a big job .. which I've been putting off... the new version doesn't seem to have the security flaws (my jumpgate site doesn't get hacked so much). I've also removed some of the recent sign-ups who hadn't posted.. as it will be one of em uploading something dodgy as an avatar that did it.

I have to agree, I think this can only be a move for the better, the way it is going now it is not attracting new players and it would be nice to see some more people about the place!

I will even try to play a bit more! if Jo lets me stop playing EQ2 for a night :P

If it works for Lotro the same way it worked for DDO, I have no problems with it. I know there are many concerns about the community going downhill when this happens, but I'm hoping that won't be the case. In all honesty, Lotro needs a good boot to get it going again, let's hope this is it :)

After actualoly reading the FAQ's that are available, it doesn't look all too bad - especially being a lifetime member (Lifetime members get Lifetime VIP access - so all the benefits of being paying subscriber).

If you subscribe now and continue to pay, you'll get full benefits.

If you've never played or have stopped, it's not going to cost you anything to try - and to be honest, playing up to level 50 is MONTHS of free play (unless you're a levelling animal!).

I know dungeon and dragons online did this free to pay model, and I'm told the number of players increased by 500%.. the number of subscribers DOUBLED... so everyone wins.

So while some people might worry it's the death of the game - it might be the kick up the bum it needed to get new blood in. :D

I've not used that specific mouse, but I do use Razer gear - mouse and special mouse-mat, and they are top quality items!

If your fingers can find all those buttons then I say go for it! The glow is pretty cool too (my Razer glows blue, and matches the glow from my G15 Keyboard!

Not me I'm afraid, I get baffled by mine which only has 8 buttons (I don't use 6 of them... hehehehe)
